Honoring Deborah Earl
Nevada's 2023 Mother of the Year
Deborah Wirthlin Earl was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. After graduation, Deborah served a full- time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Petersburg Russia. In 1996, Deborah married Cameron Earl. She worked as a bank executive with First Security Bank in downtown Salt Lake City until their first daughter was born, and then taught piano lessons while Cameron completed his medical training. In 2007, the Earl’s moved with their 5 children to Las Vegas. In 2014 Deborah began parent advocacy work in response to activist efforts to diminish parental rights and indoctrinate children in radical ideologies at school. Through these efforts, she co-founded Power2Parent, a non-profit organization focused on preserving parents’ rights to raise their children according to their values and ensure the family unit is supported in law and policy. Deborah is an accomplished pianist, loves to read, write, waterski, snow ski and spend time with her children and adorable granddaughter.
