The 2010 Mother of the Year and Young Mother of the Year have been announced! Patricia Tew of Las Vegas is Nevada's Mother of the Year and Laurel Beckstead of Summerlin is the Young Mother of the Year. They were both recognized and honored at the Spanish Trail Country Club on May 8th.
American Mothers of Nevada was organized in 1945 as part of the national organization to meet the needs of Nevada’s mothers. American Mothers is an interfaith, non-political, non-profit organization for women and men who want to strengthen mothers and through their influence, strengthen society.
We honor a Nevada Mother of the Year and a Young Mother of the Year. Chapter members participate in local and state conferences to lift women’s spirits and their vision of what their families can be. They also work on community service projects throughout the year to promote motherhood.
